How To Deploy Cloud Servers using vCloud Director Private Cloud
2. To start deploying your virtual machine, Under "My Cloud", click "vApps" then click on the "+" sign "Add vApp from Catalog"
3.To select which vApp Template to be deployed, look in the "Public catalogs", and choose the appropriate data center and templates, then click "Next".
4.Name the vApp and Description, then click "Next".
5.Place your vApp on the available "Virtual Datacenter", and name your Virtual Machine, as well as choosing the available "Storage Profile", then click "Next".
6.Review your configuration and if everything matches your needs click "Finish"
7.Please allow some time for the Virtual Machine to be completely deployed. Once it has finish deploy, under "My Cloud", click "VMs", right click and choose "Properties".
8.Under "Hardware" you can change the number of CPUs, Memory size, Hard disk size, Add more hard disk, Change IP, and Add more NICs.
9.Please make sure to enable "guest customization". This feature will enable instant IP assignment, and for you to be able to login to the VM. You also need to "Allow local administrator password". Once done click "OK".
10. You can also share the VM to some specific users in your organization. Sharing the VM will allow that user to access the VM using the web console. To do this, please follow the KB article: How to Assign VM to Specific User(s) in vCloud Director
11.Congratulations! You just finished configuring your new VM. The last step will just be powering on the VM. To do this, Under "My Cloud", click "VMs", choose your VM, right click and "Power On"
12.If you are unable to login using the password you set earlier during step 9, please wait until the guest customization finish setting your new password and setting the appropriate configuration of your VM.
