Deploying VSPC Management Agent

Before Starting be sure that the traffic has been allowed between your server to communicate with EVOCATIVE VSPC server on Port 6180

For Windows OS:

To install a Evocative VSPC management agent on the server running Windows operating system:

1. Log on to the machine that have Veeam Agent or Veeam VBR server installed

2. Download the agent setup file from the URL that Evocative provided

3. Double-click the agent setup file to launch the Veeam Service Provider Console Management Agent wizard.

4. Follow the steps of the wizard.

5. At the last step of the wizard, click Install.

6. When installation completes, click Finish to close the wizard.

The management agent Setup is assigned to your company, it will automatically connect to Evocative Veeam Service Provider Console with your company configuration.

For a Linux Server:

To install the Evocative VSPC management agent on server running Linux operating system:

1. Log on to the server

2. Download the agent setup file from the URL that Evocative provided (it could be downloaded from a Windows machine, then transfer to this Linux server)

Make sure that you have permission to execute the setup file.

where:

• <...> — path to the directory where you have saved the setup file.

• <company_name> — name of the company to which the management agent is assigned.

• <location_name> — name of the location to which the management agent is assigned.

If you have downloaded the management agent setup file from Veeam Service Provider Console and the management agent is assigned to your company, it will connect to Evocative Veeam Service Provider Console automatically.

For a MAC Server:

To install a management agent and Veeam Agent for Mac on a computer running macOS operating system:

1. Log on to the machine where you want to install the management agent and Veeam Agent for Mac.

2. Copy the agent setup file on a machine where you want to install the management agent and Veeam Agent for Mac.

3. Double-click the agent setup file to launch the Veeam Management Agent wizard.

4. Follow the steps of the wizard.

5. At the Installation Type step of the wizard, click Install.

If Veeam Agent for Mac is already installed on the managed computer, click Customize and clear the Install Backup Agent check box.

1. To start the installation, provide credentials of an account with administrator permissions on the managed computer and click Install Software.

2. When the installation completes, click Close.

The agent will be installed in the /Applications folder on the system disk.
